I have been interested in the human psyche and automatic processes of our nervous system since a young child which led me to doing my undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia with a major focus in Biology and a minor focus in Psychology. I continued with my studies at Rhodes College and acquired a Certification in Life Coaching and a Wellness Counselling Degree. I went through my own journey of uncovering and healing my own traumas along with ones we carry intergenerational and subconsciously in our family structures and societies we are born into. I have studied the work one needs in order to stop surviving and start thriving. I have learned so many tools and resources that have helped me break out of limiting beliefs and negative patterns that I still use and apply to my current life for the best outcomes. We never stop needing to use resources in the same way that we never stop feeling and interpreting what we encounter in our everyday living. I am still fascinated by humanity and the endless possibilities of experiencing life. I have a beautiful metaphor of humans being like snowflakes. No two are alike. We each process and understand the world and that which surrounds us in our own unique way. I am fascinated by how many different choices we face in life and it is often unknown to us which to take, yet, either choice we do make, will lead us in its own opportunities to learn and grow.
I’m a counsellor who works with a somatic approach, drawing on yoga, mindfulness, and the wisdom of nature. I believe healing happens in connection, and that the most uncomfortable parts of ourselves often hold the deepest invitations for growth. So much pain is carried in silence, and my role is to create a safe, creative, and collaborative space where you can share, explore, and show up as you are. Together, we can listen to the body, tend to what feels difficult, and discover new ways of being with yourself and others.
